This training program is designed for a wide range of applications and work environments and is designed to provide information about the proper operation of the powered industrial truck, or forklift. It is designed to help operators meet state and federal operator certification requirements or help current operators review and sharpen skills as required at least every three years. It explores a wide range of forklift operating issues including operating conditions and stability, manipulating loads and working with stacks, traveling and difficult maneuvers, traffic and pedestrians, lifting people, equipment for special situations, and hazardous operating conditions including activities, environments and locations.
